There are over 200 hundred instructors in the BCA Program and another large group of instructors who do great work but have, as yet, not joined the program. I have come to know many of the instructors either in person or on the phone. We have talked about methods and theories of teaching the game. From these conversations I have developed a certain level of comfort in recommending their services. My list of recommended instructors
is not intended to be comprehensive list of those who are well qualified
to teach pool. It is merely a list of people I know personally who I feel
could do a good job in helping you with your game. There are certainly
a great number of highly qualified instructors on the BCA List that do
not appear below. You can probably locate one near you by visiting BCA
Certified Instructors. I suggest that you follow the suggestions
in the section How
to Improve when choosing an instructor.
Alaska
“Having read just about every book that was ever written
about pool; I find your books to the best and recommend them to my
students all the time. “I just hope that you realize
how much your books and your hard work inspire people. Thanks for giving
poolplayers including myself around the world some hope and
inspiration.”
"Phil Capelle's contribution
to the literature on pocket billiard instruction can help beginning players
as well as advanced players looking to improve their game. What I
like about his books is the attention to detail. Tips like "accelerate
smoothly" or "feel the tip at contact" are absolute gems that can be missed
on first readings, but then jump off the page on subsequent readings.
I recommend his books to all my students and I employ his recommended drills
in my sessions."
“I am extremely impressed
with Phil Capelle's instructional books, I recommend them to all my students
as a "MUST HAVE" for their billiard library. They areextremely easy read
because of the great way the books are laid out. Theycontain a plethora
of valuable information that I feel is unsurpassed in comparison to the
other books.”
"Phil Capelle's books are
the most informative and comprehensive instructionals to be found.
I always recommend them to my students as their primary training and
reference manuals."
"I teach my students everything they need to know to develop rock-solid form & fundamentals. Phil Capelle's books teach them everything they need to know about putting it all together for great table management. I teach them how to shoot, and Phil teaches them how to play. When a student is going to buy just one book, it should be one of Phil's. For novice players, these books will open their eyes to the surprisingly large amount of practical knowledge available to help win games. For intermediates, the books will expose them to the full range of playing situations & strategies and give them clear approaches to learning or executing smart plays. Advanced players will find diagrams and explanations covering issues they may never have examined closely before, adding new weapons to the arsenal. Nobody topmargin="0" marginheight="0" puts more effort into
making pool make sense than Phil Capelle. And you can get about a year
of his work for under $30. Buy some books and play smarter."
"I find your books to be
the best training aids on the market. They are easy for any level of player
to understand. "
